Contributors were asked to post journal writings of any subject and length they desired, for two months in the late Winter and early Spring of 2014. Special thanks to all who took part.
Written and Assembled February and March, 2014
Coordinated by Thomas Park
Here is an excerpt of the proposal Thomas Park sent the contributors:
"A writer I like, Robert Penn Warren, compared reality to a spider's web, in which each touch of a strand of the web sends ripples throughout the entire structure."
"For several years, I have hoped to assemble a group of writers (and bloggers) willing to take part in an experiment of mine."
"I ask you, if you are interested, simply to send me a blog-style e-mail a minimum of once a week. To send me a record of your thoughts. Personal thoughts and experiences are great-- also, hopefully, ideas on a larger scale (thoughts about politics, global events and so forth). I am not setting limits on length-- short entries are fine, as long as they are reasonably coherent. Long ones, too."
"Please note that I am not asking for or expressing a particular belief system-- religious, political or otherwise-- through this project. I hope that you will feel free to express your blogs about personal and more collective topics in any way you see fit. I will not edit them."
"I wonder if Robert Penn Warren might have been right, about life and the spider's web. Can we demonstrate this? Will our thoughts intersect, create parallels, clash, or form something discordant?"
Thank you for your time!
